St Mary's Churchyard
The first burial was George Chamberlain, a mill owner on 5th June 1853. The churchyard was extended to the North in 1885 and to the West in 1936. There are also three commonwealth war graves in the churchyard, one from World War one and two from World War two. The churchyard is still in use today.
